Mormon Lake Lodge Wedding

Inspiration

Bringing to the blog today this stunning forest wedding at Mormon Lake, Arizona! When looking for wedding venues in Arizona, people often imagine the sparse desert vibes, canyons, red rocks, etc. And while I photograph a lot of the elopements and weddings in these areas, I was so excited to shoot in this gorgeous forest in Pleasant Valley. With its rustic historic lodge and ceremony site surrounded by pine trees – this is the perfect venue in Northern Arizona.

Wedding at Mormon Lake

Taylor and Shane got ready in separate cabins with their wedding party and then they had the sweetest first touch where they read letters from each other. Taylor also had a first look with her dad and their son- little Shaney. Such a fun way to include kids on your wedding day.

We headed to their ceremony site in the woods where their guests were ready for us. Taylor walked down the aisle to a song she wrote for Shane, and let me tell you- there was not a dry eye in that forest! The tears didn’t stop there, though, Taylor had a special gift for little Shaney and promised to always love not only his Dad, but him and be the best Mom she can be for him. It even had me wiping a tear behind my camera! After an emotional “I do” we adventured around the woods for bridal portraits with the newlyweds!

Then it was time to celebrate! We joined everyone at their reception where they had their first dance, little Shaney got to show off his awesome dance moves with his mom, and Taylor danced with her Dad! After dinner, the party really started with their mechanical bull, drinks, and smores station. When the night was almost over, we lit sparklers for a send-off!

Once the guests had cleared out of the venue, Taylor and Shane had their very last dance of the night in private. Such an intimate way to end their wedding day. Okay, enough talking – scroll on for this Mormon Lake Lodge Wedding in the woods!
