Kristen and David had an incredibly peaceful elopement. They had privacy at both places they went, and everything went smoothly, which doesn’t always happen, so it was extra special.
They started at a trailhead for a sunrise hike. It’s a spot where you can sometimes see hot air balloons. They changed clothes, had a first look, and said vows as the sun came up and balloons inflated. They kissed, had champagne, and took some pictures. Then they walked around taking more pictures and sat down to enjoy the views and watch balloons.
Experiencing the Cutest Cabin
Later, they went to Tiny Camp, got ready again in a cute cabin, and took some pictures with Kristen’s locket. After that, they hiked to a view of the sunset. They opened a bottle of wine, relaxed, danced to their favorite song, and took more pictures until the sun went down.
The night ended with donuts from Sedonuts and reading letters from friends and family. Kristen and David liked the letters and had a good time reading them while sipping wine.
Before leaving the mountain, they got a Polaroid album as a gift. It was a special moment seeing their photos right after the day was done. Kristen and David now have these pictures to remember their quiet and simple elopement day.
WORDS FROM THE COUPLE ABOUT THEIR PRIVATE SEDONA ELOPEMENT
Why did you choose to elope?
“We wanted a day that was just about us and our love! We wanted something low-stress and full of adventure.”
How was your elopement?
“Our day was so special. Our favorite part was our sunrise photos.. we felt like we were on top of the world. So full of happiness and love for one another! It felt like everything worked out perfectly.. from the weather, the balloon ride in front of us, seeing a deer on our hike up. The most perfect day!”
Do you have any regrets about your elopement?
“No, we wouldn’t trade that experience, it was something we will never forget!”
What advice do you have for future couples looking to elope?
“Do it! You won’t regret it.. weddings can be so stressful, and end up not being about you and your partner. When you elope, the day is yours!”
Review from the Couple
“Karen was amazing!!! I would give her 20 stars if I could.. My husband and I felt so important on our day and leading up to it. She was very thorough with her meetings and pitched ideas that felt individualized to our personalities and wants. She really puts her heart and soul into her work. We are a Canadian couple and we felt so at ease planning our elopement in Arizona because she made it so easy. Our day was perfect, and after the fact we got a beautiful customized photo box and a meaningful note. Thank you Karen for everything! You are a beautiful person inside and out Thank you for making our elopement day a day we will never forget.”
