Krista + Jonathan’s Sedona adventure elopement reminded me EXACTLY why I do what I do. Their love was nothing short of magical which made for dream come true photos. I am excited to share them with you, and I hope that they check the boxes as the inspiration you are looking for!

Why did you choose to elope?

“We chose to elope so we could have that moment for us. We didn’t want distractions or stress on a day that should be nothing but happiness and love. We wanted to look back on the day we vowed forever together and be able to feel all the feels of that day, to remember everything about each other from that day, and to do it all in such an unforgettable place we could visit again in the future that would hold such a deep meaning to us.”

How was your elopement?

“Our elopement day couldn’t have been any more perfect! We had 6 of our closest friends/family with us and we started the morning off with champagne by the pool. We grilled lunch and started to get ready for our big day and everything was stress-free and just so exciting! Karen was amazing, easy to talk to, and fit right in with our small group. One of the first pictures taken of me was when I was looking at my dress and having her capture that moment was so surreal. It kind of made everything reality and it was the first moment it hit me that day that I was going to be marrying my best friend shortly.

From getting ready to reading letters from family back home to off-roading to our location, it was all perfect.

We said our vows in a beautiful location and then moved around the area for breathtaking views for our photos. It all felt like a dream. Some spots required a little climbing and hiking my dress up which I was fine with and I also heard my dress tear more than once but I truly didn’t even care because I had my person forever! & to me, the pulls in the dress are just a great story to add to our day!

One of our favorite parts of the day was hiking a littler more for our first dance as the sun was going down. The views and the love I felt were like nothing I’d ever experienced before.

To end our elopement we popped champagne in the dark in front of the Jeep headlights and those were some of our favorite pictures ever! And everyone who saw them couldn’t believe how cool it was!

Our day was everything and more than we could have ever asked for.”

Do you have any regrets about your elopement?

“There are zero regrets when it comes to our elopement besides wishing it could have lasted longer! We relive the moments we shared during our elopement almost every day when we look at our photos from Karen. The feelings we felt, the views we saw, and the magic around us are given back to us through our photos and we can’t have any regrets about our day when we get to experience that all again miles and miles away back at home.

4.5 months after our elopement we had a Viewing Party back home where we displayed all of our photos on display boards and played our video over dinner. Dinner was followed by a night of dancing and everyone letting us know how amazing our photos were and how they could feel the love we had for each other. And now everyone wants to book a trip to Arizona!”

What advice do you have for future couples looking to elope?

“ABSOLUTELY DO IT! && use Karen!! If you want a day that’s truly about you, your partner, and your love, eloping is the way to do it. You’re not distracted by others or on a strict schedule, your day is truly just yours.”
