Grant and Kierstin, who recently welcomed their first baby, wanted to include him in their special day but weren’t sure how to do it. I suggested bringing a nanny along, and they agreed. My trusted nanny joined us, and she took care of Baby Crew while we captured beautiful moments.
We started the day at their Airbnb, where they got ready and had a first look. Then we drove up a rough road in a jeep. We stopped at the gym where they first met for some photos. Crew was a bit confused by the bumpy ride, but he managed just fine.
When we reached the top, Grant and Kierstin read their vows on a rock they had always imagined for this moment. Crew watched quietly as they exchanged heartfelt words. We took bridal photos and family pictures with Crew, who was all smiles.
The couple shared a first dance, and Kierstin danced with Crew while Grant watched with tears in his eyes. They then sat together as a family to enjoy the sunset until it got cold, and we went back to the jeep for cake and champagne. We ended the night with some sweet photos under the Jeep headlights before heading back down the mountain so Crew could rest and his parents could enjoy dinner.
Words from the Couple About Their Sedona Elopement with Baby
Why did you choose to elope?
“We wanted an intimate experience that was solely focused on us. No stress of pleasing many guests.”
How was your elopement?
“Perfection…. Our favorite part of our perfect day was watching the sunset at merry-go-round rock with our son. We were filled with so much Joy for the entire day, but to have our son there with us to experience and witness his parents get married meant everything to us.”
Do you have any regrets about your elopement?
“None, not a single regret.”
What advice do you have for future couples looking to elope?
“Do what you want! It’s not about following tradition or doing what your family expects of you. Do what fulfills your heart and what you and your partner will look back on and say “Wow that was such an incredible experience.”
